Model dream house is not good enough if only the eyes. That’s half the ancient mind, self-centered and tend to be narcissistic. The concept of a minimalist home, modern homes, traditional houses or anything else these days have to add one element that is environmentally friendly!
In the world of architecture design eco-friendly concept called ecodesign. What should be fulfilled in the design of environmentally friendly home? Here’s an explanation and example.
Environmentally friendly home means a house that integrates the entire process of unity by considering the consequences for the environment. That is, since the beginning of the process of design, development and utilization of building the various aspects considered.
The main aspects that should be considered are:
1. Consumption of resources-saving and efficient (energy, materials, water and land)
2. Both emissions to air, water and related land and environmental health
3. Others (such as noise and vibration).
If you want to apply ecodesign for your dream house, concrete can be a great deal. For example, the house full-sun, so electricity can be saved. A lot of windows and air flow smoothly so you do not need AC. Enough land to recharge wells. Green room, aka the garden which supplies clean air requirements. Installation of sewerage and solid waste can be recycled. Use of building materials that are not wasteful. And others. And so forth.
there are many aspects that must be diperhatiakan in design. Of course not all designs can always accommodate all aspects. But at a minimum. Once again, at least: You do not ever spend the whole land for the house, or covered with cement. You need to take into account for each room get sunlight and air are sufficient. Use a lamp and put points on the optimal place.
In the example below we try to apply ecodesign concept in a three-story building. Notice that on each floor, we provide open space that can be used for garden or ornamental plants, air flow is abundant, but still sheltered from the sun
